On our Yosemite Tour your naturalist guide will take you to many of the icons of the park including Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan, Glacier Point, and Half Dome. We will also venture out of the valley to Hetch Hetchy & Tuolumne Meadows as well as Mariposa Grove. Woven into the natural beauty of the park is a deep cultural history including the pioneers who settled this area, the Buffalo Soldiers who first protected this park, and John Muir who had the vision to protect this park for generations to come.

Treat yourself to unique views of Yosemite at its saturated spring best. In this workshop we'll get up-close and personal with waterfalls (bring your rain gear), find rainbows galore, and photograph the poppies and redbud blooming in the Merced River Canyon. A priority in this workshop is the Yosemite Falls moonbow (lunar rainbow) only possible during spring full moons. I've been visiting Yosemite my entire life, and leading photo workshops here for nearly 20 years, so I know places in Yosemite Valley that are both beautiful and far (-ish) from the crowds. And of course we'll have plenty of time to photograph all of Yosemite's "classic" views of El Capitan, Half Dome, and waterfalls. And as a bonus, we'll photograph a full moon rising above Yosemite Valley.

The Big Sandy Ride & Waterfall Hike is the ideal family or beginner experience! This dirt road that meanders deep into the forest is only a few miles from the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, California! Our guide will share interesting facts about the flora, fauna, and history on this bicycle excursion as you enjoy a mellow uphill ride until you dismount your bike and hike along a circa 1800 water diversion to the hidden Tenaya waterfall. Take a dip in a swimming hole and enjoy the serenity of the forest. Depending on the group's fitness level, we can extend this experience by riding farther up Big Sandy to the Big Sandy Campground. On the way to Big Sandy Campground, we can hike down a ravine to a spectacular secret waterfall. After the secret waterfall, we will continue to ride uphill for one more mile to the Big Sandy Campground. After a short rest, we will ride back to where the cars are parked. The ride back is all downhill, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride while taking in the sights and sounds of an old-growth forest.

The Yosemite Falls/Snow Creek Loop offers you the opportunity to experience all these wonders while avoiding the most popular and most crowded places in the park. You will hike up and out of Yosemite Valley, past the incredible 2400-foot Yosemite Falls, to the rim of the valley where you will bask in the glorious views and spend your first night. Then enjoy two days traveling through the high country towards North Dome, offering views of Half Dome and the Yosemite Valley, then to Indian Rock and Snow Creek before heading back down to the valley floor along the Snow Creek Trail. Enjoy the impressive views of Tenaya Canyon, Clouds Rest and Mt. Watkins as you make the steep descent, arriving back in the Valley in time for lunch. Whew! A strenuous but fantastic adventure!
