Our trip will begin in Redwood National Park and morphs into various hikes within Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park and new for 2024, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. You will almost certainly see herds of regal Roosevelt Elk, catch glimpses of whales from scenic outlooks high above the Pacific, maybe view a black bear or perhaps a sea otter or even the rare and endangered marbled murrelet. This trip has it all: rivers, glaciers, meadows, wildlife and breathtaking views of Mount Rainier, and an amazing opportunity to learn and practice the do's and don'ts of backpacking. The scenery is so stunning you will probably start planning your next trip before you leave the park! /p> The hiking trail itself is of moderate difficulty overall with challenging uphill sections and some easier stretches that will allow you to keep your eyes fixed on the vistas, glaciers, and Mount Rainier.
