Paddle by the charming artist hamlet of Halibut Cove, Kayaking finishes at the tailhead. GREWGINK GLACIER LAKE HIKE A three-mile hike begins at the Saddle trailhead, a moderate hike to the top of the saddle. The remainder of the hike is easy, over the level glacial moraine opening to a lake dotted with ice bergs, the blue of Grewgink glacier beyound. Hiking back for your pick-up offers views of Halibut Cove & Kachemak Bay.

First time paddlers will discover our double kayaks are stable, safe, roomy and a blast to paddle. Perfect for someone who has never been in a kayak before. Grewgink Glacier Lake Hike (self-guided) A three-mile round trip hike begins at the Saddle trailhead, a moderate hike up a series of switchbacks to the top of the saddle. The hike is moderate the first ½ mile, the remainder is easy, over a level glacial moraine opening to the glacier Lake dotted with ice bergs and Grewgink glacier, surrounded by tall mountain peaks. Receive shoreside instructions and begin kayaking, on occasion Arctic Turns can be viewed as we navigate around ice bergs paddling towards the impressive blue face of Grewingk Glacier. Stopping for lunch and a walkup for a grand view!
