The 2-hr cruise, thru the sheltered waters of Fidalgo, Guemes and Cypress Islands, offers you the opportunity to see our year-round resident Alcids: Pigeon Guillemot, Rhinocerus Auklet and the highly endangered Marbled Murrelet. Other seabirds, sea ducks, shorebirds, raptors are seen as well. And of course, we are always on the lookout for Orcas, porpoise, seals and river otters. The 3-hour visit to Vendovi Island Preserve gives you plenty of time to continue birding on your own and explore the island's forest, beaches and grassy meadows on its well-maintained 3-mi trail system. Lookouts and beaches offer stunning vistas of the San Juan Islands, the Salish Sea, Mount Baker and the North Cascades for you to enjoy your picnic lunch. Vendovi Island is located between Guemes and Lummi Islands and is owned by the San Juan Preservation Trust.

Immerse your senses in the otherworldly Hoh Rain Forest, a sea of brilliant green mosses and lichens hanging from trees hundreds of feet tall in one of the planet's wettest places, which also creates the perfect environment for one of the quietest places on earth. This magical landscape evades description, which is why people so often reach for fictional comparisons (e.g. FernGully, Avatar, Fangorn Forest from Lord of the Rings), but you really must experience it for yourself.

Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve-hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. Our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake, Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Valley, and time permitting, a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Hiking distance and duration of tour is customizable to your groups needs.

Chrome Chaser’s Fly Fishing has been fishing and guiding on the Olympic Peninsula for over 40 years for Steelhead, Salmon and Trout. Without a doubt, there is no place in the Northwest with more diversity of anadromous fish than the Olympic Peninsula. The OP is a fly fisherman's paradise from Sea-Run Cutthroat and Chinook Salmon to amazing winter and spring Steelhead action. The Olympic Peninsula also boasts one of the healthiest populations of wild Coho in the state. Whether you are a seasoned fly angler or new to the sport we can teach you the techniques and tips to catch fish on the peninsula. We offer day trips from a drift boat or raft on one of the many area rivers including the Hoh, Queets, Quinault, Clearwater, Sol Duc, Calawah, Bogachiel and Quillayute rivers as well as some other lesser known watersheds on the OP. Give us a call if you have questions about any of our incredible fly fishing adventures!

Join us for a full day Naturalist guided hiking tour of the 3 most beautiful 200 foot (avg) waterfalls on the Olympic Peninsula! We conduct these tours only in the winter and spring when the waterfalls are most impressive. The first two waterfalls are only a short walk into the forest. The third waterfall is a 2.3 mile round trip hike into the Olympic National Forest, gaining 250 feet of elevation. It is considered easy, but may feel moderate for some. Our helpful and informative tour guide will transport you to each waterfall and teach you about the watershed, mountains, and flora & fungi that we see along the way!
