Once owned by a notorious 19th-century gunfighter, this Old West-style resort on a secluded cattle ranch is 10 miles from the rim of the Grand Canyon, 2 hours from Las Vegas, and 35 miles from Route 93. Featuring cowboy-themed decor such as wagon wheels and saddles, the custom-built pine cabins sleep 2 to 5 guests, and have porches, fireplaces or wood-burning stoves, and en suite bathrooms with showers or antique claw-foot tubs. Some cabins add loft bedrooms. Linens are provided. The Ranch also offers Glamping Tents, a fusion of glamour and camping, for those who want to experience camping without the hassles. The tents are fully furnished in western style decor. 2 Person day hike. The South Kaibab Trail is a ridge trail that offers you those giant Grand Canyon 360 degree views you are expecting and dreaming of. With ooh-ah point being our first stop, you will stand at the edge of a huge drop off and overlook Cremation Canyon. We will then head on down to Cedar Ridge for a hearty snack. This is 1.5 miles from the trail-head and offers time to explore and get some great pictures of the wide-open canyon. We will continue hiking along the ridges to our next destination. Giant overlooks of the Tonto Platform and the canyons ability to make you feel like an ant, will be on this next section. Our next stop is Skeleton Point where we get our first view of the powerful Colorado River. You are able to get away from the trail here and enjoy lunch overlooking the Colorado River. This will be our turn around point unless you want to go further. Of course your guide will make the decision as we want you to have the most exciting day possible and remain safe.
