Centrally located in Island Park, Eagle Ridge Ranch is a 2,000 acre western paradise. Rugged mountains, majestic pine trees, fragrant wildflowers, whispering meadows, peaceful streams, and lakes teeming with fish are all within minutes of the comfortable and private cabins that are available for rent year round rental. In addition to the breathtaking landscapes, you will see a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, such as moose, elk, deer, antelope, waterfowl, hawks, and eagles. Eagle Ridge Ranch is an escape from the frenzy of city life, without sacrificing any conveniences or comforts. You can spend a day riding horses, eat a delicious prepared dutch oven meal, go fishing in one of the private ponds, and then relax in a private hot tub. If you would like to go hiking or photograph some of the wildlife, there are hundreds of secluded mountain trails within minutes of the cabins. Since Yellowstone National Park is just a short drive, you can also visit many of the park attractions (such as Old Faithful), and then come back to your luxury accommodations. In addition to the cabins, Eagle Ridge Ranch has designated camping areas that are great for families, business retreats, or scouting groups. While at the ranch, there are many other fun seasonal activities to choose from, such as a full 3D archery range, canoeing, swimming, and skeet shooting. We begin our day driving to Old Faithful, witnessing the iconic geyser explode before us. With a quick visit to the remarkable Old Faithful Inn, then venturing on to the Morning Glory Pool. Following along the Upper Geyser Basin, the trail offers incredible views of the Daisy & Grotto geysers. Biking to Biscuit Basin, we arrive at a boardwalk home to a small set of hot springs, geysers & steam vents. Then driving to Firehole Lake Drive, we take a scenic bike ride to Firehole Spring & White Dome Geyser, where we enjoy a picnic lunch. After a short drive to the Fountain Freight Road trailhead, we bike our way to the final stop: the stunning Grand Prismatic.

Even if you have never been in a kayak before, you will surely want to do it again after this trip. We meet at the Lewis lake Campground Boat Ramp at 9am on the first day. After a brief introduction of equipment and paddling techniques, your guide will lead you on an easy paddle to a remote area in the Yellowstone backcountry. We start by paddling around the shoreline of Lewis Lake to reach the river channel connecting the two lakes. Once inside the channel, we'll stop for lunch, then paddle and hike/wade upstream towing our kayaks until we reach the shore of Shoshone lake. The channel is about 2 miles long, and the upper mile has just enough current to make it impossible to paddle against it, but it is only ankle to knee deep. Once there we paddle another half mile to our campsite, arriving in plenty of time to set up camp then relax and enjoy before dinner. On the second day, after a leisurely breakfast then breaking camp, we can paddle and float down the entire channel back to Lewis lake, have lunch then paddle back to our vehicles, arriving around 4pm.

Backcountry ski, cross country ski or snowshoe into the Serengeti of the United States in Lamar Valley to look for signs of coyotes, foxes and wolves. We will take you and your group into the heart of one of the wildest places in the lower 48 and our interpretive guides will discuss the characteristics of the different animals that share this beautiful area: including history, tracking, and the affects of climate change on these animals. Depending on the groups desires and skill levels, powder skiing can be found on the slopes of Rose Creek and other areas of Lamar Valley. Very few visitors leave the road to explore this area in the winter and our guides will take you to remote places of Lamar valley providing you with an intimate feel for how amazing and wild this area is. This tour can be done on backcountry skis, cross country skis or snowshoes. For safety and efficiency in travel, we require all group members traveling together be on similar traveling devices (ie, all snowshoes, all cross country skis, etc.)
