OKLAHOMA'S ONLY WILD MUSTANG ECOSANCTUARY DEDICATED TO TOURISM. Mowdy Ranch is one of four wild horse sanctuaries designated as a public off range pasture for the (BLM) Bureau of Land Management. Come along and join us as we float down the lazy river on the Wisconsin back channel then slowly motor our way back up the river into the steep banks of the beautiful Vermillion River, under the old railroad bridge. The sloughs and back waters in this stretch are more remote and secluded than anyone can imagine. Lake Pepin is another option. From bald eagles soaring over the skies to the beavers and muskrats swimming down the lazy river, the banks hold all kinds of wildlife, deer, turkeys, birds, etc. The scenery and wildlife are absolutely breathtaking! From the snow/frost covered trees along the riverbanks and bluffs in the winter, to the colored leaves dropping into the river in the fall, to the summer sail boats on Lake Pepin and those docked in the harbor. Then there's the beautiful train that runs up and down the shorelines and banks of the Mississippi, along with the mirror painted boat house - reflections on the water at Bay Point Park and the big river boats docked at Ole Miss Marina -this historical destination in Red Wing, Minnesota has so much to offer. There are so many possibilities in this robust area, with so many Eagle's nests and wildlife along the banks of the Mississippi that you just can't see from shore. There is nothing like spending time on the water with family and friends. We will get you in very close proximity of the Eagles for your viewing pleasure or photography.

Michael Landrum grew up fishing Lake Caddo. His grandfather taught him to fish on this lake. In 2013, Michael began giving tours of this watery wonderland on his 24-ft pontoon boat. He thrives on sharing his passion for this area and loves helping make lifelong memories for those who share his tours. Tours vary according to guests’ interests. Left to my own impulses, I tend to focus on the history and legends of Lake Caddo and the surrounding area but am delighted when passengers indicate interest in wildlife, ecology, native Americans, local/regional attractions, or any subject related to Caddo Lake and Wetlands.
