Olympic National Park offers up a multitude of beautiful landscapes indicative of the Pacific Northwest. During this photography workshop, we may visit the Hoh Rain Forest and its Hall of Mosses as well as the forests found in the Quinault region of the park. We will also photograph the rugged coastline and its awe-inspiring sea stacks which can be found at First, Second, and Third Beaches. Other coastal locations include Ruby and Rialto beaches. Around Lake Crescent, we will explore the inner forested areas in search of cascades and waterfalls. This photography workshop will take advantage of the best the northwest has to offer on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.

Watch and learn about Bald Eagles with our Biologist and Naturalists, and be sure to bring your camera for some rare up-close photos of eagles in their natural environment! Blemish-less nature formed by verdant rainforests, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain provides for a favorite backpacking destination of outdoor enthusiasts. Miyar will take you on four days of unmitigated serenity in Olympic National Park backpacking trip adventure rated as easy to moderate. We will be following the High Divide Loop trail exploring over 18 miles and gaining a net elevation of 3,590 ft at our highest point. We will start at the Sol Duc trailhead and move counter-clockwise past the Sol Duc falls, several beautiful lakes and verdant rain forests. We will also partake some glorious views Mount Olympus from vantage points on our way. We will be hiking in August when nature and visibility can be expected to be at their best.
