We conduct these tours only in the winter and spring when the waterfalls are most impressive. The first two waterfalls are only a short walk into the forest. The third waterfall is a 2.3 mile round trip hike into the Olympic National Forest, gaining 250 feet of elevation. It is considered easy, but may feel moderate for some. Our helpful and informative tour guide will transport you to each waterfall and teach you about the watershed, mountains, and flora & fungi that we see along the way!

During this photography workshop, we may visit the Hoh Rain Forest and its Hall of Mosses as well as the forests found in the Quinault region of the park. We will also photograph the rugged coastline and its awe-inspiring sea stacks which can be found at First, Second, and Third Beaches. Other coastal locations include Ruby and Rialto beaches. Around Lake Crescent, we will explore the inner forested areas in search of cascades and waterfalls. An 18-mile approach leads through old-growth rainforest in the Hoh River Valley to the toe of the Blue Glacier, part of the third largest glacial system in the Lower 48. We climb past spectacular ice falls and crevasses to an enjoyable pitch of moderate alpine rock climbing up the summit pyramid.
