For over 125 years guests have been following in the path of Lewis and Clark exploring the “Gates of the Mountains”. Today the marina and boat tour is operated by the Gates of the Mountains Inc, whose goal is to protect, educate, and allow visitors to explore one of the last best places. Today the operation includes a Marina with 150 private docks, a public boat ramp, and tour boats that allow around 30,000 visitors a year to explore what Meriwether Lewis saw over 200 years before. We encourage you to come out and see the “Heart” of Montana. The river is surrounded by over 28,000 acres of roadless undeveloped wilderness filled with flora and fauna. In addition to the breathtaking landscapes, you will see a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, such as moose, elk, deer, antelope, waterfowl, hawks, and eagles. Eagle Ridge Ranch is an escape from the frenzy of city life, without sacrificing any conveniences or comforts. You can spend a day riding horses, eat a delicious prepared dutch oven meal, go fishing in one of the private ponds, and then relax in a private hot tub. If you would like to go hiking or photograph some of the wildlife, there are hundreds of secluded mountain trails within minutes of the cabins. Since Yellowstone National Park is just a short drive, you can also visit many of the park attractions (such as Old Faithful), and then come back to your luxury accommodations. In addition to the cabins, Eagle Ridge Ranch has designated camping areas that are great for families, business retreats, or scouting groups. While at the ranch, there are many other fun seasonal activities to choose from, such as a full 3D archery range, canoeing, swimming, and skeet shooting. We look for Bears, Wolves and baby animals mostly, but also run across so many other animals and unique photo ops along the way. We begin our day driving to Old Faithful, witnessing the iconic geyser explode before us. With a quick visit to the remarkable Old Faithful Inn, then venturing on to the Morning Glory Pool. Following along the Upper Geyser Basin, the trail offers incredible views of the Daisy & Grotto geysers. Biking to Biscuit Basin, we arrive at a boardwalk home to a small set of hot springs, geysers & steam vents.
