Our Spring low tides uncover the bounty of the sea, and the plain midshipman sculpin spawning season serves up easy pickings for Bald Eagles. Bald Eagles from around the Puget Sound flock to the shores of the Hood Canal during this time. It is not uncommon to see 60 to 100 Bald Eagles on the beach and perched in overhanging trees! Watch and learn about Bald Eagles with our Biologist and Naturalists, and be sure to bring your camera for some rare up-close photos of eagles in their natural environment! The tour leaves from Yelvik's Beach.

Join us on a locally inspired half-day itinerary that features top Olympic National Park destinations including the Elwha Valley and Lake Crescent, plus a bonus sightseeing stop along the rugged shoreline of Tongue Point. Join us on a 4 Day Olympic National Park Backpack Trip Olympic National Park (ONP) is a spectacular sample of the great natural beauty that abounds in the North West US. Blemish-less nature formed by verdant rainforests, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain provides for a favorite backpacking destination of outdoor enthusiasts. Miyar will take you on four days of unmitigated serenity in Olympic National Park backpacking trip adventure rated as easy to moderate. We will be following the High Divide Loop trail exploring over 18 miles and gaining a net elevation of 3,590 ft at our highest point. We will start at the Sol Duc trailhead and move counter-clockwise past the Sol Duc falls, several beautiful lakes and verdant rain forests. We will also partake some glorious views Mount Olympus from vantage points on our way. We will be hiking in August when nature and visibility can be expected to be at their best.

Join us for a full day Naturalist guided hiking tour of the 3 most beautiful 200 foot (avg) waterfalls on the Olympic Peninsula! We conduct these tours only in the winter and spring when the waterfalls are most impressive. The first two waterfalls are only a short walk into the forest. The third waterfall is a 2.3 mile round trip hike into the Olympic National Forest, gaining 250 feet of elevation. It is considered easy, but may feel moderate for some. Our helpful and informative tour guide will transport you to each waterfall and teach you about the watershed, mountains, and flora & fungi that we see along the way!

Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve-hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. Our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake, Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Valley, and time permitting, a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Hiking distance and duration of tour is customizable to your groups needs.
