I have lived in a few different places in my life, including Alaska, Utah, Illinois and Massachusetts. We start with a wilderness drive to the more remote areas of the Everglades and explore over 30 miles of its diverse ecosystem. This area is home to a wide variety of wildlife including the American alligator, Everglades mink, whitetail deer, black bear, a multitude of bird species, and even the endangered Florida panther! Although remote, the trails are flat and make for a very nice walk through the great cypress forest. Plan on a four-plus hour commitment with about three hours hiking, including a picnic snack.
