Description Sprague Lake and Glacier Gorge Intensity: Moderate Mileage: 4 miles round trip Elevation gain: ~400 ft. Drive time from meeting point to trailhead: 20 minutes Trail time: 2 hours (+15 minute tutorial on how to use the gear) Description: This tour is perfect if you’re moderately fit and a snowshoeing beginner. We'll start the tour with a 15 minute tutorial where we'll show you how to use the gear and practice moving with it on. YOU MUST WEAR WATERPROOF HIKING BOOTS. The 2 hours of hiking will begin after the tutorial This snowshoeing tour takes us on a trail around Sprague Lake and then through the peaceful, less traveled forest in Glacier Gorge whose rocks were cut by glaciers tens of thousands of years ago. The forest is filled with pristine pine and quaking aspen. It's difficult not to feel a sense of calm and peace in this environment. You can enjoy incredible mountain views from Sprague Lake and the Glacier Gorge trail without the chaos of being on the popular trails. After booking, you'll receive an email with details like meeting place and time, and tips on how to prepare and what to bring.
