I launch my skiff depending on the season and fish we are targeting from Islamorada all the way to Key West. I fish an area all the way from Cape Sable in Everglades National Park to the Marquesas Keys 25 miles West of Key West. If you are staying in a particular area I can arrange to fish near you if transportation or time is an issue.

Fly Fishing Southwest Florida doesn't get any better than this. Especially if you're fishing for Snook and Tarpon. The occasional Trout and Redfish are known to grab a fly on the lights as well! "‹ For the uninitiated, home owners on the water will sometimes have submerged or overhead lights placed on their docks. The combination of bait attracting light and structure are snook magnets. It's not uncommon to see a few tarpon milling around as well especially since both are predominantly night time feeders so be ready to bow to the "silver king" (Can you find the fish in the background picture?!) "‹ The lights around Pine Island, Matlacha, and the Caloosahatchee River hold fish all year long, making this one of my favorite things to do on Spirit Fly Charters. So if you want to escape the cold winter winds, your kids, or the office here's your ticket.

The best and most consistent Tarpon fishing available is for our resident Tarpon. Early in the day we may have you casting streamers for Sea Trout on the flats. Then we often switch gears and have you casting shrimp or crab flies to the mangrove shorelines for Redfish and Snook. We could also move out into one of the local gulf passes and look for ladyfish or pompano. Most of our fly fishing charters start early to take advantage of the calm wind conditions that occur most mornings.
