GUIDED FLY FISHING TRIPS High Country Fishing Charters LLC offers Guided Fly Fishing trips in Pagosa Springs CO. We also offer trips in North West New Mexico on the lower San Juan River. We specialize in instruction, with patient guides and proven progressions for the beginner Fly Fisherman. Our guides can also hone your skills for the more experienced anglers. On Our Guided Fly Fishing trips in Pagosa Springs CO we offer 3 trip lengths. Trips are either 1/2 day, 3/4 day or full day on the water, depending what waters we fish. The 1/2 day is 4 hours on the water, the 3/4 day is 6 hours on the water and the full day is 8 hours. Trip time does not count drive time, but starts once we get to the river or trailhead. We fish the High Country streams of the San Juan National Forest, the Lower San Juan River and exclusive rights on 3 Private Ranches. One Ranch is on the San Juan River in Pagosa Springs, the other 2 ranches are on the Navajo River. The Navajo River is 24 miles south of town on HWY 84. Some of our guided fishing trips require hiking or the use of 4 wheelers. Please let us know of any health issues. Also beware that most of the hiking is above 8,500 feet. So make sure you are hydrated. Captain Scott Taylor also guides in the Florida Everglades in the spring and fall for Tarpon, Snook and Redfish. Visit Laid Up Charters for more information. Also check out our Fishing Report. All of our Guided Fly Fishing Trips include all flies, rods, and waders or wadding shoes. All you need is to buy a one day CO on NM fishing license (there is a link on the rate page for fishing licenses), and pack a lunch on 3/4 or Full day trips.
