Since 1978, we have guided thousands of adventures on successful trips through this very special part of the Alaskan wilderness; even before it became a National Park in 1980! Due to the vastness of this National Park (13.2 million acres!) we are still expertly exploring uncharted terrain and taking you along with us for these incredible journeys. Over the decades of guiding in the Alaskan wilderness, we have passed down our guiding expertise from one generation to the next. Starting with just a few of us who had the grit and knowledge to navigate this kind of country, there are now upwards of 45 expertly trained guides here at St. Elias Alpine Guides.
