We are one of Arizona's most experienced mountain lion hunting outfitter and guide services. Our family has guided countless successful dry ground mountain lion hunts since the late 1960s. Our mountain lion or cougar hunts are done following a pack of extremely determined hound dogs in the mountains of Arizona. We do not rely on snow as our hounds have been bred and trained to follow lions strictly by scent. The hunter will have the option of hunting from horses and mules, or from 4x4/on foot. Our horses and mules are mountain raised, surefooted, and gentle, and we use them year-round. We have raised and trained our own lion hounds for 50+ years and use them for mountain lion hunting exclusively. If you consider seeing good dog work any part of the lion hunting experience, then this is the hunt for you.

We also guide hunts for southern Arizona mule deer in units 27, 28, 30A, 31, and 32. The October/November hunts in these units can be drawn with 0-3 bonus points and they are great units for desert mule deer. These units also have over the counter archery hunts available in August/September and December/January for an action packed spot and stalk desert mule deer hunt. For youth deer hunters, the youth-only hunts in unit 27 and units 28 29 30A 30B 31 32 are great. These hunts are before any of the adult rifle hunts and hunting pressure is light. They are any antlered deer hunts with the possibility of taking a great mule deer or Coues whitetail deer.

We strive for rare adventure, to see the uncommon, to experience the moments in nature, that truly can only be captured by being there. "ACO", setting the standard into the backcountry. The "piebald" is a rare genetic color mutation that appears like partial albinism. Since ancient times, white animals held a special place in human society and are prominent and even sacred in many cultures. Animals with the piebald mutation lack pigmentation in certain parts of their bodies. A spotting pattern often occurs with the intermixing of pigmented and non-pigmented hair, skin, or feathers. Piebald animals often have very stunning and distinguishing patterns. The magnificent piebald elk pictured here was taken by Katy Weaver on a muzzleloader hunt in Arizona in October of 2016. She was guided by her brother, Toby Weaver, owner and operator of Antler Canyon Outfitters. This elk is of world class size. If official records were kept for color mutated animals, could very well be aWorld Record. The piebald trait in elk occurs in about 1 out of every 100,000 animals. The Rocky Mountain Elk is so uniquely beautiful and majestic in and of itself but the piebald is particularly breathtaking. Truly a class of its own.
