After an organic and locally sourced lunch on the banks of the wild and scenic Smith River, you'll paddle your personal inflatable kayak through stretches of rocky gorges, floating on crystal-clear water below more lofty coast redwoods. Finishing the day navigating some fun, easy rapids on the jade-colored Smith and starting by biking roller-coaster hills through massive redwoods, you'll experience the best Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park has to offer. There are multiple colonies of Cormorants, Black Oyster Catchers, Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemots and lots of seasonal birds as well as Harbor Seal pupping grounds and resting areas. We see Gray Whales from spring through to the fall migration on a regular basis. Total distance is about 4.5 miles for the 2.25 hour tour. We will be wearing provided wetsuits on this tour.
