Lake Crescent is the centerpiece of the itinerary with a 2-3 mile guided hike to Marymere Falls and surrounding trails immersed in old-growth forests. The afternoon wraps up with a scenic drive on the backroads around Lake Crescent to reach Tongue Point and amazing coastal viewpoints of the Strait of Juan De Fuca from Salt Creek County Park.

An 18-mile approach leads through old-growth rainforest in the Hoh River Valley to the toe of the Blue Glacier, part of the third largest glacial system in the Lower 48. We climb past spectacular ice falls and crevasses to an enjoyable pitch of moderate alpine rock climbing up the summit pyramid. Join us for a full day Naturalist guided hiking tour of the 3 most beautiful 200 foot (avg) waterfalls on the Olympic Peninsula! We conduct these tours only in the winter and spring when the waterfalls are most impressive. The first two waterfalls are only a short walk into the forest. The third waterfall is a 2.3 mile round trip hike into the Olympic National Forest, gaining 250 feet of elevation. It is considered easy, but may feel moderate for some. Our helpful and informative tour guide will transport you to each waterfall and teach you about the watershed, mountains, and flora & fungi that we see along the way!

The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. Our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake, Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Valley, and time permitting, a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Hiking distance and duration of tour is customizable to your groups needs.
