Mt. Rainier is one of America's premier climbing destinations and the perfect training ground for future mountaineering expeditions around the world. Reaching to a height of 14,410 feet, Mt. Rainier gives you a full on mountaineering experience. Our program is five days. We start at Paradise Visitor Center and ascend via Disappointment Cleaver - with two days of mountaineering skills built in. This allows beginners to gain confidence and seasoned climbers a chance to refresh all while acclimatizing to the altitude. Most importantly, it allows time to truly appreciate and enjoy the experience. If you are looking to test your strength and have a big mountain experience, we encourage you to join us on our climb to the roof of the Northwest.

Sam Hennessey has been a professional mountain guide for the last 11 years, and is an internationally certified IFMGA guide. His experience includes over twenty expeditions to the Alaska Range, six seasons in Antarctica, and numerous trips to the Himalaya. Closer to home, he works as an ice climbing guide in Hyalite Canyon and the South Fork of the Shoshone, as well as climbing and skiing in the Tetons and Beartooths. He is passionate about exploring the frozen waterfalls of the area, and has climbed hundreds of routes throughout the region, including dozens of first ascents throughout the region. Seth has been a professional mountain guide for the past 17 years and has led over 45 international expeditions around the world including 11 trips to Antarctica, 23 trips to the Alaska Range, and high altitude mountaineering trips to the Andes and Himalaya including two successful summits of Mount Everest. This ultra-private, four to five-day guided program will be take place on the East side of Mt. Rainier on the the less frequented Emmons Glacier Route. On most trips we can do the climb in 4-days, but we have built in a 5th day as a contingency day in the event that we need an extra weather day to make our summit bid. As we are limited to 4 climbers and 2 guides, participants are in for a very customized climbing program on a mountain that is very special to us. Starting at 4,400 ft. at the White River Campground, we will climb 10,000 vertical feet to reach Columbia Crest, the true summit of Mt. Rainier.
