The option is yours, it can be an exclusive trip for a couple, whole family or group of friends! We depart Homer Alaska in your private Float plane to visit both Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks.This is not your typical tour, it is a long trip with lots of flying, sight seeing and don't forget about the Bear Viewing! The exact itinerary will be finalized on the morning of your trip to accommodate for weather, and bear activity. On a typical day this tour we will usually depart in the morning from Beluga Lake flying across Cook Inlet to Lake Clark National Park to spend some time hiking and sight seeing. Next we will load up in our float plane and head out to Katmai National Park to see Alaskan Brown Bears! The exact locations we land will depend on the bears. Your plane will land on a remote beach, just a short walk away from the main attraction: brown bears in their natural habitat. Trip time is usually five hours (approximately one hour flight each way and three hours on the beach) or can possibly be customized to meet your needs, based upon space available, tides and weather (extra charges apply). Departure times vary somewhat based on the tides.

Katmai Water Taxi is the official water transportation option to Brooks Falls and Katmai National Park! Opperating June 1 – September 20 weather permitting. Upon your arrival, you will be shuttled from the King Salmon, Alaska Airport to the National Park Service dock. There you will board the state of the art watercraft for your cruise across scenic Naknek Lake (approximately 45 min.) to Brooks Camp for your bear viewing adventure. The water taxi leaves the King Salmon dock every odd hour starting at 7 AM, with the last departure at 5 PM June, July, and August and 3 PM in September (Subject to change based on weather and light conditions). The water taxi returns from Brooks Camp every even hour starting at 8 AM, with the last pick up at 8 PM June and July and 6 PM in August and 4 PM in September, as long as there are booked seats. Katmai Water Taxi Services, is a transportation service only. Once you disembark the boat you are self guided at Brooks Camp and surrounding areas. It will be your responsibility to check in at the Brooks Camp Visitors Center to participate in the bear viewing orientation class hosted by Katmai National Park staff.
