Whether you are first-timers or experienced fishers, join us for either four or two and a half hours of pure fun, chasing and reeling in beautiful and good tasting striped bass and feisty yellow eyed monster bluefish. Our mates will give you all the help you want when using either light tackle spinning gear or more sturdier trolling rods, and will fillet and clean any fish you want to take home for dinner.

Thinking about entering the world of saltwater fly fishing? Cape Cod is a great place to learn and dive into saltwater fly fishing, chasing striped bass and bluefish. The cape has long been a vacation destination for friends and families. Lighthouses, beaches, museums, biking, walking, shops, dining, and whale watches are a few of the draws to the cape. Fly fishing is another. From May through October, stripers and bluefish populate the waters near shore and provide wading fly anglers fun opportunities.

A 6-7 hour early morning or afternoon trip, the only way to target 150 to 750 pound giant bluefin tuna. Sorry, it won't be a reality TV show like Wicked Tuna, and we might troll spreader bars, cast big plugs on spinning gear, or live-line live mackerel to make sure you have sushi for dinner!

7 Seas Whale Watch is located in the heart of historic downtown Gloucester, MA and in one of the busiest parts of Gloucester harbor. As soon as you board the Privateer you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of Gloucester's working waterfront. You may see fishing boats that have just returned from sea unloading fish, lobstermen baiting and setting their traps, and perhaps even some of our indigenous wildlife such as Harbor seals, Gray seals, Common eiders (a beautiful sea duck common in the harbor), Double-crested cormorants, and of course you will hear the ubiquitous "seagulls" (mostly Herring, Great black-backed, and Ring-billed gulls). Once we arrive on the feeding grounds we will spend approximately 1.5 hours with the whales. Your onboard naturalist will provide valuable insight into the lives of the whales you see and explain the behaviors you observe the whales engaged in. Our experienced team of naturalists and the information they impart during your time with the whales will greatly add to your whale watching experience and hopefully give you a deeper appreciation of the whales you see and the unique marine environment that we are ALL so privileged to be visiting.

Bluefin tuna are one of the largest, fastest, and best eating fish that New England offers. They are prized among sport fishing for their fight and speed, shooting through the water with their powerful tails up to 43 miles per hour, pulling the fishing line away 200 yards from the boat. If fish were like cars, tuna would be the Ferraris of the ocean, sleek, powerful, and made for speed. Gloucester is centrally located to some of the highest yielding Bluefin Tuna Fishing grounds that New England offers. With the central locations, we are the best with the shortest rides out of any ports, with Stellwagen bank, Jeffries Ledge, and Tillies nearby. This is why we are known as the Bluefin Capitol of the world.

Deep sea fishing charters are a common attraction in Gloucester. Many people find this type of bottom-fishing rewarding as you catch and can keep some of the best tasting fish the ocean has to offer. This includes cod, haddock, cusk, hake, whitting, wolfish, and many other types of groundfish. Onboard the Connemara Bay we bring a maximum of six passengers allowing you plenty of room to work the bottom without tangles.
