Green River Lake is a beautiful lake with excellent crappie fishing. I will work hard to put you on a limit of crappie. While Green River Lake may not be known as a big crappie lake it does give up a few. I was fortunate to catch the Green River Lake record black crappie that weighed 3.36 pounds. While Green River Lake does have a few good crappie swimming in its waters it for sure has the numbers needed to enjoy a great day catching crappie and having a wonderful crappie fishing experience. The crappie here are perfect eating size and what I believe to be the best tasting crappie around.

This Jamboree offers a wide variety of trails that lead you through rolling hills, wooded forests, and rocky plateaus. The Turkey Bay OHV area has over 2,500 acres of trails with steep grades, creeks, and rocky terrain. The region has lots of wildlife including turkey, bobcat, red wolf, coyote, deer, and many birds of prey, including Bald Eagles. There is also a preserve where you can see American Bison. Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area has 170,000 acres of undeveloped land, so nighttime stargazing while camping on a moonless night is especially good.
