Ala Kahakai is a living network of shoreline trails on Hawaiʻi Island that connects coastal villages, sacred places and traditional resources. The route traces ancient pathways and passes beaches, fishponds, burial sites and Portuguese-era trails, offering a mix of short accessible walks and remote coastal sections.
